This is my favorite recipe for an easy to make, classic old fashioned cocktail. There are lots of ways you could go with this, but this one works great.

(I like Buffalo Trace or Knob Creek)

Demerara Simple Syrup

dashes
Angostura Bitters

Orange Bitters

(For Garnish)

Instructions
Add simple syrup and bitters to mixing glass
Add bourbon
Add 2 handfuls of ice and stir until chilled
Strain over large cube into rocks glass
Take an orange peel, and express oils over drink. Drop in glass for garnish
Notes
If you want to make a good, classic old fashioned this is the recipe for you. Spirit forward, a little bit sweet, and incredibly easy to make.
